Kim Kardashian is Pregnant

I almost hate to write this blog because I am not fond of the Kardashian family nor their empire.  I don’t understand how any of them got to be where they are (sans Bruce Jenner) or how they stay there.  I briefly watched an episode of their reality show, “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” and am certain my IQ dropped during those few minutes.  I think Kim’s 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries was a total sham on her part.  I am still not sure if he was in on the moneymaking marriage or not. But, news is news whether I … Continue reading

Kim Kardashian Gets Pelted

Reality star Kim Kardashian and PETA have tangled in the past due to her love of real fur. So, when I read the other day that Kardashian had been pelted on the Red Carpet last Thursday with a bag of flour, I just assumed someone from PETA was behind it. Every September 11th, I try to watch a documentary – one of the gut wrenching ones – so I will remember the pain I felt that day and to pray for the victims and those they left behind. So needless to say, I was appalled today when I read that “The Today Show” chose to speak with Kris Jenner at 8:46 am … Continue reading

Green Celebrities: Charlize Theron

Whenever I see Charlize Theron on the Red Carpet, I am thrown back to old Hollywood. She takes chances with her gown designs sometimes, but she always seems regal and confident in her choices. But, she is not just a great actress (she won an Oscar for Monster), but also a philanthropist. Theron supports women’s rights. She attended the opening day ceremony of City of Joy, a community in Bukavu, Democratic Republic of Congo. The community provides women who have been victims of violence with group therapy, sex education (especially about HIV/AIDS and family planning), self-defense classes, and information about … Continue reading
