Burger King Making Big Changes

Not long ago, I blogged about McDonalds being in trouble with the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) for raising hens in tightly confined cages. I have always thought PETA’s ads were aimed mostly at a young audience. Think of all the people who have posed nude for PETA’s anti-fur ad – Pamela Anderson, Taraji P. People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) held its 30th anniversary gala this past Saturday night at the Hollywood Palladium. Hosted by Alec Baldwin, plenty of celebs turned out to support the cause. The organization handed out Humanitarian Awards to Eli Roth, Olivia Munn, Dave Navarro, Joanna Krupa, Emily and Rose McCoy, Kellan Lutz, Charo, Lea Michele, Eva Mendes, and Anjelica Huston. While the Humane Society is busy trying to get McDonald’s to use cage-free hen raising practices, PETA is continuing to fight other battles. The battle this week is with reality star Kim Kardashian.
